Change how you buy flowers, with this useful Grade Sheet!

Buying flowers has changed tremendously over the years. Where we used to get up early to go to the markets, we now buy the majority of our flowers online. This brings certain advantages, but it also raises questions as to how we can assess their quality. Skonson feels florists should have the possibility to judge flowers on their quality before they buy them. That is why they created a grade sheet to help you do so.

Gradesheet

Say you have to prepare a funeral arrangement, and you need large headed roses in colours pink and purple. Naturally, you go to a web shop to purchase the flowers you need, but are the flowers you need, the flowers you get?

From our grade sheet, you can judge whether the flower you are looking at on your screen is in fact the flower you need for your funeral arrangement. The grade sheet has divided rose lengths into small medium and large, and gives you a clue on what to look for in a flower.

The same goes for when you want to buy Chrysanths, for example. All you have to do is scan through the list of flowers and see that for a heavyweight Chrysanth you will have to buy 70 gr. and up! (see grade sheet if you want to see for yourself how easy it is.)

This information isn’t taught in schools (yet), but understanding weights, lengths and ripeness stops all the guesswork in buying flowers and takes away the anticipation of not knowing what will turn up. Please go ahead and download the grade sheet, print it out and stick it on your wall.
